Our ECITB Supervisor Training programme is designed for new and experienced supervisors and other first line managers with little or no previous training. Those with temporary supervisor duties (e.g. during periods of shutdown/outages) will also benefit. There are no prerequisites for individuals to attend Supervisor Training Modules. Flexible virtual options available on request.

Each module of our ECITB Supervisor Training programme is a standalone course which may be taken in any order, although Module 1 is recommended as the place to start.
Module 1: Taking the Lead - 3 days
In the first module, participants explore the basics of effective leadership. They will be introduced to managing self, others and resources, and using effective communication to enhance their leadership attributes. Module 3: Sustaining Success - 2 days
Introducing Supervisors to the practical tools used to lead a team including task planning, project delivery and budgeting. Participants gain insights into project lifecycle management and quality assurance in the final module. Supervisors will enhance their project planning and execution skills to tackle the complexities of modern projects effectively.

Module 4: Supervising for Effective On-site Safety - 2 days
Covering the responsibilities of a supervisor and the elements needed in setting a team to work safely. On completion of the course, learners will be able to prepare a site-based work team to work safely through activity briefings, leading and monitoring the team and individuals. They will also learn tools for risk assessment and control measures for hazardous working environments and simultaneous operations.
