COMET has secured a contract win with Pilot Water Solutions (PWS) to deliver COMET Investigate, bringing its total revenue from North America to over £1.4 million.

The United States based water midstream operator wished to improve their understanding of undesirable events and near misses, and ultimately reduce incident frequency, which resulted in its team’s decision to purchase the root cause analysis tool.

PWS joins our growing portfolio of clients based in North America which includes Cummins, McDermott and Texas-based oil and gas operator, Western Midstream.

Although the majority of the team supports our international customer base from our Aberdeen headquarters, several staff work remotely from overseas locations.

While we continue to pursue further opportunities in North America, consideration is also being given to recruiting a Business Development Manager in the Texas region.

Mark Rushton, Chief Executive Officer at STC INSISO, said:

“It is an exciting time for the company as we grow our presence in North America and welcome another valued international customer.  I am extremely proud of the team behind COMET, which has existed for just over a decade and continues to evolve each year in terms of the product’s capabilities and the range of clients which we serve.”

In addition to the contract win with PWS, we now have a commercial and innovation partnership in place with Texas-based, McDermott. The engineering and construction company has contributed to the development of invaluable functionality within the COMET platform and assisted us in winning new business.

COMET Investigate is a world-leading methodology, training package and online solution for incident investigation, root cause analysis (RCA) and incident prevention, built by a team with over 400 years of investigative experience and heritage.
